The UAE government has allowed restaurants to open and operate at 30% of the capacity following proper safety measures, however, Dubai residents are not very confident about eating out as yet. We spoke with a few residents to understand what their fears are and this is what they have to say:
Zoya Pasha says, “We still do not have a vaccine. I do not want to fall sick.”
Aisha Victoria says, “I am not going to any restaurant as I do not want to take any chances.”
Anul Mudra says, “I would rather wait for some more time before we go to any restaurant. Numbers have not decreased till date and would not like to take any chance for going out in public spaces.”
Neha Sahani says, “We are avoiding going out in public spaces. We cannot put ourselves and our loved ones’ lives at risk.”
At the time of publishing, the total count of COVID-19 cases in the UAE stands at 11,380.
